About the Stroke Rehab and Recovery Products Blog
The Stroke Rehab and Recovery Products Blog is designed as a resource for information on products that help stroke survivors get on with their daily life and remain independent as well as a forum for stroke patients and their loved ones to help them find the products they need. We’ll discuss independent living products as well as products for stroke rehabilitation and recovery.
A stroke, or “brain attack”, can have lasting physical affects on the stroke patient including limited strength and dexterity or partial paralysis. Having to rely on a loved one or caretaker to do things that we are used to doing on our own can be frustrating for a stroke patient, especially for anyone who really enjoyed their freedom and independence beforehand.
With the right selection of independent living products, stroke patients can still retain some semblance of an independent lifestyle. Whatever the issue may be: getting dressed, getting in and out of bed, staying safe in the bathroom, preparing one’s own meals, eating, cleaning, or getting out of the house, the right selection of independent living products give the stroke survivor all whole new lifestyle to enjoy.
We welcome comments, suggestions, and questions from stroke patients and their families, therapists, doctors, and home healthcare providers.
